The numbers that matter, sourced

The reference figures for Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and LinkedIn: engagement rates, the formats that work and the best times to post. Every figure comes from a public study, cited and dated.

Where these figures come from
  1. Medians

A median tells you where half of the accounts sit. Your real benchmark is your own posts.

  2. Bases on display

Reach, followers, views or impressions: each study divides by a different base, and the page names it.

  3. Disagreements shown

When two studies don't say the same thing, the page shows both instead of picking one.

Sofia publishes no invented figures. These pages gather recent public studies — Buffer, Sprout Social, Socialinsider — checked on each publisher's page. Every value names its source, and every source states its date and sample. Definitions differ from one study to the next: figures from two studies cannot be compared with each other.

  • Why do studies give different numbers?

Because they don't divide by the same thing: reach, followers, views or impressions. They don't observe the same accounts or the same period either. Every number on this page names its base and its source.

  • Do these numbers apply to my account?

They are medians and averages across thousands of accounts. They give an order of magnitude; your real benchmark remains your own posts, compared with one another.

  • How do I find my own best times?

By comparing your posts with one another, hour by hour. That's what Sofia does: she starts from your opening hours, watches your results and adjusts your slots every week.
