The Free plan

3 min read

What the Free plan allows, at no cost and with no credit card: its per-network post quota, the free launch campaign, its refusals and moving to Starter.

Every account without a subscription is on the Free plan, at no cost and with no credit card. It has no end date: you post within its limits for as long as you like, and move to a paid plan when you need one.

What Free includes

  • 1 business and up to 5 connected networks.
  • 4 posts per network per month, detailed below.
  • The 7-day launch campaign, which Sofia prepares and gives you when you open your account.
  • The assistant connectors: Sofia also works from your AI assistant. Autopilot and your own campaigns need a paid plan.

The post quota

The month counted is your plan's month: it starts on the day your plan began and renews on the same date every month, not on the 1st.

  • Per network: a post sent to Instagram and Facebook takes one slot on each. When one network has its 4 posts, the others keep theirs.
  • What counts: a post that is scheduled, being sent or published, in the plan month that contains its publication date (or, failing that, its scheduled time).
  • What does not count: a draft, a failed post, a canceled schedule, and the posts of the free launch campaign.
  • Deleting does not free the slot: a published post you delete keeps its slot until the end of the plan month.

Sofia checks the quota before anything is sent: when you schedule, reschedule or publish now. If a targeted network is full, nothing goes out and Sofia names that network. Rescheduling a post does not count it twice, and a post already scheduled goes out on time.

Campaigns

Creating or editing a campaign is reserved for paid plans, except the launch campaign: Sofia prepares it when you open your account, and its posts do not count towards the quota. You can accept it, reject it, restart its schedule or cancel it; renaming it, changing its goal or editing its posts needs Starter. See Campaigns.

Refusals and their codes

When an action goes beyond the Free plan, the app says what is blocking and offers Starter. An API answers 403:

APICodeWhen
App (web, mobile)plan-publication-quota-reachedA targeted network already has its 4 posts this month. The response carries limit, platforms (the full networks), renewsAt (the start of the next plan month) and upgradeTo: starter.
App (web, mobile)plan-campaign-not-includedCreating or editing a campaign. The response carries upgradeTo: starter.
Sofia APIplan_limit_reachedEither refusal: the detail carries its code, plan-publication-quota-reached or plan-campaign-not-included. See the reference.

Moving to Starter

The owner chooses Starter in Settings, “Subscription & billing”, on the web or in the mobile app. The plan applies straight away: posts are no longer limited and you create your own campaigns. If a paid subscription ends, the account goes back to Free. See Managing your subscription.
