Zapier
Connect Sofia to your other tools with Zapier: a single personal key is enough to publish, schedule and follow your posts.
Sofia’s Zapier integration connects your account to your other tools, without writing a line of code: a form, a shop or a spreadsheet can trigger a post, and a published post can trigger other actions.
Connecting one
- 1. Create a personal key. In the settings, “Sofia API” page, “Personal access” tab, “New key”. It is shown only once.
- 2. Add Sofia in Zapier. Paste the key into the “Personal key” field (
sofia_pk_live_…). Zapier tests it withGET /v1/me, and the connection is named after your Workspaces. - 3. Use it in a Zap. A single connection reaches all your establishments, with your rights.
What is available
| Item | Name in Zapier | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Trigger | Post Published | Fires when a post has been published |
| Trigger | Post Failed | Fires when a post fails |
| Action | Create Post | Publishes, schedules or saves a draft, with one target per chosen account and media by address |
| Search | Find Post | Finds a post |
The Zap’s “Establishment” and “Accounts” lists are filled from your establishments and connected accounts. An inconsistent field (dated draft, unknown account) is refused before any call.
Errors in Zapier
- 401: the key is no longer valid, reconnect the Zapier account with a new key.
- 429: too many calls; Zapier waits for the delay Sofia indicates (
Retry-After) before trying again. - Any other refusal: Sofia’s error, with its code, is shown in Zapier.
How this differs from the API and webhooks
| Criterion | Zapier integration | Sofia API and webhooks |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | In Zapier | On your side |
| What you need | A personal key, no code | Code that calls the API |
| Triggers | Polling of published or failed posts (most recent first, 100 posts per page) | Signed events sent to your address, see Webhooks |
| What you get | The integration’s operations | The whole API, see Settings › API |
Use Zapier when your tools already plug into it. Use the Sofia API directly when you need all its operations.
